UPDATE :)
I’m sorry everyone!!! I know i promised to update more often. I try hard to keep my twitter current and i’ve been able to do that cause it’s so fast and much easier when i’m traveling which i’ve been doing alot of lately. WELL, since my last blog, i’ve done a taping for Secret Life of the American Teenager (loved every minute of that and it was so great getting to see everyone again), i got to be on the anniversary edition of Who Wants to be a Millionaire (i earned $50,000 for my favorite charity which was Blank Childrens Hospital in Des Moines, WOOHOO), i did a photo shoot for US Weekly (really fun shoot), attended Teen Choice Awards (actually won one, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all of the votes…so cool to be there with all of the other nominees…WOW, what an honor), after TCA i stayed in LA for a couple of days just to play and relax (i learned how to surf and i now can say i have a new obsession :), loved everything about it but it’s so exhausting, then i came home (Mark came along also) for the Iowa State Fair (i was honored with being the parade marshall and got to officially kick off the opening of the fair, Mark rode in the parade with me and then he played his guitar and sang at the grand opening) then that same evening we went back to the fair and Mark played and sang again after the Nadas (very cool, BTW the crowd was amazing for him), then Mark went back home and i went to Dallas for the US National Gymnastics Championships (hardest thing i think i’ve ever done, i don’t know if i like being a spectator), hung around home for a day and then heading to Camp Woodward to enjoy some one on one with some campers (also doing a promo for Lunchables while i’m there), then i’ll come home for a couple of days before i am officially taking a VACATION (yeah me!). My website is coming along nicely and should be up and running soon (i’ll keep you posted with all of the details when i have them) but look forward to some really fun and new stuff on it…i have to get now and get packed for next trip…love you all…Peace SJ
I know that you might not exactly see the logic in waking-up at 2AM, getting to the airport, flying all of the way across the country simply to do like a 1/2 hour appearance, and then going through the same rigamarole just so you can be back home again where you started.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND…
You make a lot of people very, very, happy during that 1/2 hour appearance when you do that.
The fact that someone as beautiful and talented as you merely exists makes all of the good people of the world extremely overjoyed for seemingly no apparent reason.

Okay. One Grease comment on Sep. 2, and Connor gets a Twitter shout-out (in his defense, it was a good comment).
I, personally, have spent over a year writing my little heart out, and all for even just ONE such minor, petty, of little or no trouble to you personally, teensy-weensy, meager, small, minute, morsel of direct feedback such as that, to send me off on my way feeling happy for a change.
All people eventually require some form of feedback, positive or negative, for them to determine the current success, failure, or even the outright validity of their actions. To do anything else would be extremely cruel.
You are perfect, Shawn. There is totally (and obviously) nothing wrong with you. I am more than just BEGINNING to think that it’s me, at this point.

I know everybody hounds you to answer, and I know that you just can’t do everything, but I am one that actually worries when you don’t tweet very often. For instance, the last I had read for the last two days was that you were stranded in the Denver airport. Then, when you did tweet again, think you must have meant to post a picture showing your “new best friend,” but there wasn’t a picture. But the wonderful news that you are going to be the Olympic Torchbearer in Calgary in January is just the best. I am so, so happy for you. You are such a deserving person and kind of makes me feel that you have chosen the right path for this time. Take care, and keep us up to date! Also saw where you just missed Chuck in Denver. Love hearing about all of you who were on DWTS last season. That was a very special group and I do hope you are all keeping in touch. Even though I am watching, I just don’t feel the connection between the dancers this season. Will never be another group like last season. AND…I watched the Iowa/Indiana game. What a game! The HAWKS did it. I live near and root for the Tennessee Vols, but I also watch and root for Iowa.
